Our research requires the analyses of large amounts of liquid samples, mainly seawater and porewater from sediments. These samples have to be diluted in the laboratory prior to analysis on analytical instruments as ionchromatographs, spectrophotometers or Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission spectrometers (ICP-OES). To increase precision and accuracy of the dilution process as well as for speeding up the analysis process, an automatic dilution system is required.
